Year 3/4

ENGLISH

Our focus will be on fiction this term - writing stories developing speech punctuation, description and building suspense. We will also be writing letters and presenting information liked with our topic.

Reading, as always, is at the heart of our learning. Please continue to read regularly at home to support our learning in school.

 

MATHS

 This Term we will be continuing to focus on learning and using Times Table facts and telling the time - lots of practise please!

Other topics we will be covering are: shape, money, calculations and weight. 

 

SCIENCE

 Digestion - What is in our body? What is digestion? How does it work? 

 

TOPIC

 Our Topic this Spring Term is Europe. We will be finding out about the different countries in this continent looking at physical and human geography. 

 

PHYSICAL EDUCATION (PE)

 We are heading back to Berinsfield Sports Centre however we will be using the hall to play racket sports and hone our skills.

 

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (RE)

 We are currently investigating if Mary is an important person to worship.

We follow the Letter Join handwriting scheme. For more information about this and about what your child will be learning throughout the year follow the link below. You will also find detail of how to log in and practice this at home. Handwriting is a very important skill so any practice at home would be greatly appreciated!

 
 

HOMEWORK

Please practise your tables knowledge and telling the time regularly, read daily and learn your spellings.
