Clifton Hampden CE Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All staff and regular volunteers are trained in safeguarding and child protection procedures. This means that we all have a responsibly to care for and protect the children in our school.  Visitors are all briefed with the latest Safeguarding information via our display boards and welcome brief.

Safeguarding and Child Protection is an agenda item at all governors’ meetings.

Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is consistent with Keeping Children Safe in Education and is regularly reviewed and updated by our DSL's and Safeguarding Governor.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about a pupil are discussed with their parents or carers first, unless we have a reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.

We actively support the government's Prevent Agenda to counter radicalism and extremism and all our staff complete training.
