Covid-19: School update:
National Lockdown announced 8pm Monday 4th January 2021
All schools have been instructed to close with immediate effect to all but children of keyworkers and vulnerable children.
If you believe your child is in one of these categories and you require a school place during this lockdown, please check the government guidance for the criteria required and take the opportunity to seriously consider if your child or children really do need a place.
YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU. SUPPORT THE FRONT LINE. STAY HOME. SAVE LIVES.
The National effort to reduce the rate of infection has never been more important and we are all responsible for ensuring we do everything we can to play our part in it's success.
We open to Keyworkers & vulnerable children only from Wednesday 6th January with Foxes and Badgers children forming Upper Bubble and Tadpoles, Frogs & Bats children forming Lower Bubble.
The teachers will be sharing home-learning resources, and live lesson information via Class Dojo and there will be regular opportunities for communication with children learning at home. Mrs Robey will continue to communicate other important information via Parentmail. Please ensure to regularly check your inbox.
Thank you to all our parents and carers for your understanding, patience and support at this difficult time.
Please be assured your children's education and wellbeing remain our absolute priority and the school staff will continue to do all we can to ensure the transition to home learning is as successful and positive as it can be.
Please find below link to our current Covid risk assessment.
NB: This is a working document which continues to be reviewed and updated in line with ongoing DfE guidance.
SCHOOL SNOW CLOSURE INFORMATION
The staff at Clifton Hampden School work hard to ensure we are open every day, however, we must be prepared for the possibility of snow disruption during the winter months. We are aware that the timings of our decisions to close the school is critical for parents and carers who need to manage alternative arrangements for their children.
When there is a possibility that the school will have to close early, open late, or not open at all, we assess the following health and safety directives;
Our main objective during inclement conditions is to ensure the school site is safe and adequately staffed.
Whatever the time of day, please be assured that the decision to close the school is not taken lightly and only after considering many health and safety factors.
If school must close, we will inform our parents and carers via Parentmail, we will list our closure on our website http://www.clifton-hampden.oxon.sch.uk we will contact local radio stations Heart FM and BBC Radio Oxford to announce our closure and we will list our closure on the Oxfordshire County Council website https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/residents/schools/school-closures
Our parents and carers are advised to keep checking Parentmail for communication during periods of heavy snowfall.
