Message from the EXECUTIVE HeadTeacher

We are a friendly and growing Federation of two schools which value and promote the partnership with parents and the wider community for the benefit of the children.

Our experienced team of teachers and assistants provide a nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every child is encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential. We recognise the special contribution each child makes to our learning community and celebrate individual talents.

We actively promote positive dispositions and attitudes to enable the children to become independent and resilient life-long learners. We have high expectations of what every child can achieve. We encourage children to believe in themselves and to find ways to become effective learners and overcome new challenges. We encourage and respond to the voice of the children, involving and consulting them about their learning and development .

The curriculum at the Thames Bridge Federation schools is designed to help children make links, explore new concepts and deepen their understanding in all subjects. This ensures that children are acquiring meaningful knowledge that is transferable. Teaching sequences are carefully planned so the progression through the subject content enables all children to make good progress building on prior knowledge, skills and understanding. The children have many opportunities to apply their learning to real life situations, for example at Forest School, on trips and in lessons based on real experiences. It is a curriculum which provides the children with opportunities to develop valuable skills such as problem solving, evaluating, creativity and independence.

If you have any questions about the schools and what we can offer your child, please get in touch.

Our Federation strives for outstanding achievement, embracing Christian values and widening our horizons, whilst bridging schools, church and community.
